Show off

My darling Pari,

I am glad your cold has decided to leave us at peace and has stoped stuffing up your nose. It has been very tough fifteen days with your nose playing freeze and flow at the drop of a hat. A cranky baby unable to drink milk cause of severe cold is indeed a difficult situation for a slow learner mum like me. For someone like me, who tries to find a match to light up a dark tunnel, found good in this difficult situation too. Since drinking milk was difficult for you, you gladly ate up all the new semi-solids and solids I gave you.

Eating has been fun for you with the high chair around. Though you are mostly busy admiring the cartoons on the chair but you have gradually fallen in love with the idea of sitting at the same height as mum and being free to do your bit without any restrictions (unlike being in mum’s lap where she tries to control most of your sudden movements).

You seem to dislike the banana the most. Ever since I have tried feeding you some mashed banana, you’ve grown skeptic of all foods I now give you.

You have been charmed by my gold bangles in the past few days. Hence I decided to get you some colorful bangles for your little hands. The cute, small, colorful bangles look very pretty in your hands and my little show off Pari, you have been busy showing them to each and everyone you could get hold of.

The one person in the family you’ve been paying most attention to is our pet dog. You recognize him by the name Woof-woof (though he’s got a way cuter real name) for you’ve got a toy dog that I call Woof-woof. Every time you see him around you try to talk to him in your secret code language. Though he understands you are trying to talk to him, but your secret language is beyond his understanding too. He sits on his hind legs and turns his head right, left and center giving an utterly confused look before settling down under your high chair with an expression of having had enough.

You haven’t spared Woof-woof from trying to show him your colorful bangles, though he has totally failed in guessing what you actually mean, but he keeps wagging his tail in hope that it’ll make you happy. Woof-woof on the other hand has been showing increased possessiveness for you. Anyone except me or Nana and Nani if tries to even come close to you let alone trying to touch you or take you in their lap he gets real restless and tries to stop them from doing so. No wonder dogs are man’s best friends.

While you enjoy showing off your new bangles and hair clips, I have finally had that much-needed hair trim (after what felt like ages). Now sweetheart, you won’t be able to get hold of my hair so easily that in recent times you’ve refused to let go until I gave out a loud scream.

Have tons of fun playing pranks and tinkling those cute bangles, but don’t forget someday you too will fall in love with the bananas.

Loads of love and blessings,

Mum

The song on my mind:

    1. I’ll try my best to click a few pics, though the little darling has refused to let anyone (me included) touch her hands let alone the bangles for the fear of someone actually trying to take them off 😦
