What is The Era I Lived In PLUS?

The Era I Lived In PLUS is the newsletter I send out each week to keep you up to date with all things on my blog, my personal life and the many life hacks that keep me up & going.

What is the aim of the newsletter?

The aim of the newsletter is to connect with my blog audience on a more personal level and spread the positivity this life has to offer.

The connection over blog comments and social media are quite something, but to extend it to a more personal level where I can share my life experiences on topics beyond the scope of this blog is what I have been aiming to achieve.

Secondly, losing touch with readers as life gets busier is something I have often experienced in the ten years I have been blogging. This newsletter is my effort to stay connected with all the friends I have made over the years of my sharing my life through writing.

What is the scope of the newsletter?

The newsletter shall resonate the very essence of this blog while extending it to a more personal level.

Hence the PLUS in its title.

In brief, it shall include:

What more can we expect when you already share your personal life at length on the blog?

I have been candid right from the first post on this blog and this is one thing that I am confident hasn’t changed despite having published around 600+ blog-posts so far. Over the course of past years, there have been times when my family’s growing awareness of my blog has kept me from sharing stories that are close to my heart.

Besides, my child’s increased familiarity with the Internet has been keeping me from sharing incidents that I am not sure if I’d like to publish on the blog. All of them shall be reserved for the subscribers of my newsletter.

What shall be the frequency of the newsletters?

The subscribers shall receive a newsletter once each week.

How can one subscribe to the newsletter?

I’m glad you asked.

Simply, fill up this subscription form with your name and the best e-mail address and follow the simple prompts.

I subscribed to the newsletter but haven’t received anything in my inbox. What could be the matter?

The newsletter(s) could have possibly landed in the ‘Promotions’ or ‘Spam’ folders in your mailbox. Please make sure you add my email to your contacts and whitelist it.

If you use Gmail, the newsletter may end up in your Promotions tab because I send email to many subscribers at a time. Just move (in the mobile app, select the function from the top RHS of the email) emails from me into your ‘general inbox’ and you should be good.

I am already a follower of your blog. Do I need to fill up the newsletter subscription form again?

Yes, please!

A number of readers follow my blog through RSS feeds, WordPress follow and also via email subscriptions. All of them shall continue to receive updates on my blog posts as before.

To receive the newsletter, you are required to sign up via this subscription form whereby you give me your consent to send you emails to the email address provided.

What if I find the newsletter content is not my jam?

You can conveniently unsubscribe to the newsletter at any point simply by clicking on the unsubscribe link mentioned in every newsletter I send out.

Yup! it’s as easy as 1..2..3

I just subscribed and confirmed my email but I didn’t receive the newsletter, what do I do?

If you confirmed after our newsletter for the week went out, you will have to wait until the next newsletter.

Got a query that is not answered above?

Reach me via the Contact Me page and I shall try my best to answer your question.

If you’ve reached this far and are still in double minds about subscribing to the newsletter, I’d tell you what I tell Pari all the time.

“You got to be a sport to give new things a try. If they work for you, keep them, if not, you’ve just learnt something new.”

Savour the experience and then decide if it works for you. If not, you can unsubscribe anytime. No questions asked.

Now that you’ve made up your mind, go ahead sign up here.
